For children and teenagers growing up in Panama, English can become an important part of their education and future opportunities. At Lingua Learn Panama, our English for kids programme is designed for learners aged 6 to 16, supporting students at different stages of their development.
Through live lessons with an instructor, students build practical English skills while becoming more confident communicating in another language. In an increasingly international country like Panama, developing English from childhood through the teenage years can give students more time to strengthen a skill they can use throughout their education.
Students learn a language by hearing it and using it, not only by memorising vocabulary and grammar rules. Our English classes for kids encourage learners to participate and communicate during lessons from the beginning.
Teachers introduce vocabulary and grammar according to the student’s level, then give them opportunities to use what they have learned in conversations and practical situations. Younger learners can build their first foundation in English, while older students can develop more advanced communication skills. Regular speaking practice helps students become more comfortable expressing themselves in English.
Our kids English course follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR, an internationally recognised framework for describing language proficiency.
CEFR has also been adopted by Panama’s Ministry of Education, providing a relevant reference for language development within the local education system. Students progress through appropriate levels as their abilities develop, giving lessons a clear structure throughout their learning journey.
Whether a student is beginning English at age 6 or continuing to develop their skills as a teenager, the CEFR framework provides a way to understand their current level and progress.
Families can choose between three formats for their child’s English learning. Private Full Course gives the student the instructor’s full attention and follows a structured curriculum from one level to the next. Private Hourly provides the same personalised attention but allows families to book lessons according to their needs.
Group Course follows the CEFR level system with a fixed schedule and is the most affordable option because the cost is shared among a small group of learners. All three options provide live instruction and direct interaction with a teacher.
English can play a different role at each stage of a student’s education. Younger children can use their early years to become familiar with English, while students aged 11 to 16 can continue developing their communication skills for school, travel, international content, and future study.
Strong English can eventually support access to universities in the United States, Canada, and Europe, as well as programmes such as the U.S. Embassy’s English Access Scholarship. Lingua Learn Panama provides a structured opportunity for students aged 6 to 16 to keep developing their English as their needs and goals change.
